Role Overview: We are seeking Seasonal Market Sales Representatives to join our dynamic team during key seasons at local markets across Ottawa. As a Seasonal Seller, you will be instrumental in promoting and selling our artisanal sourdough bread to customers, fostering connections within the community, and ensuring an exceptional market experience. This role offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere of farmers' markets while representing a beloved local brand.

Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and organize Your Bread Box's booth at designated farmers' markets, including arranging product displays, tents, and banners to showcase our gourmet sourdough bread.
  2. Engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, serving as a knowledgeable brand ambassador and providing expert guidance on our products.
  3. Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, handling cash transactions and issuing receipts with professionalism and courtesy.
  4. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing booth throughout the market day, ensuring product freshness and attractiveness.
  5. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals, sharing insights and strategies to maximize market performance.
  6. Assist with booth takedown and packing up at the end of each market day, ensuring all equipment and inventory are properly stored and secured.

Requirements:

  1. Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays during the market season from May to October.
  2. Previous sales and customer service experience is an asset, with a proven ability to engage customers, drive sales, and deliver exceptional service.
  3. Enthusiasm for sourdough bread and a passion for sharing culinary experiences with others, with a genuine love for meeting members of the local community.
  4. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, initiative, and adaptability in a fast-paced market environment.
  5. Strong communication skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to handle high-volume sales with ease.
