Role Overview:
As a seasonal Kitchen Manager at Your Bread Box, you will not only oversee all production operations but also play a hands-on role in meeting production demands. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you'll be required to step into any part of the production process to ensure timely and high-quality output across all distribution channels. Your leadership, attention to detail, and willingness to roll up your sleeves will be essential in driving the success of our production efforts.


  1. Lead and manage all aspects of production, including scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and staff supervision.
  2. Collaborate closely with the Owner, sales team, and other stakeholders to develop and execute production plans that meet customer demand and align with company objectives.
  3. Actively participate in production activities as needed, including mixing, shaping, baking, and packaging, to ensure that production goals are met and quality standards are maintained.
  4. Provide hands-on training and guidance to production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  5. Monitor production workflows and identify opportunities to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  7. Assist in sourcing ingredients, negotiating supplier contracts, and managing inventory levels to support production needs while controlling costs.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members, providing clear direction, feedback, and support to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  9. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet changing priorities and address production challenges as they arise.


  1. Previous experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing or bakery industry.
  2. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  3. Hands-on experience in bread production, with a solid understanding of artisanal baking techniques and processes.
  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  5. Flexibility to work variable hours and adapt to changing production demands, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  7. Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance principles, with a commitment to upholding industry standards.
